Pricing depends on session length, frequency, and whether your student is in a 1-on-1 or small-group format. The diagnostic assessment and consultation are free, and we share a written quote after the consultation so you can compare it on the same scope of work.
Most students benefit from starting in September or October, before the pace of ecology and cell energetics builds. Students joining in January through March follow a compressed plan focused on the highest-weight units and FRQ scoring patterns. We accept students up to four weeks before the May exam for targeted review.
Yes. Online sessions use a shared whiteboard for diagrams, pathways, and data-analysis practice, so the format holds up for biology's visual content. Most local students meet in person at our Hillsborough office and use online sessions when schedules or weather make the drive impractical.

Yes. A meaningful share of the exam tests experimental design and interpretation of quantitative data. We work through the College Board investigations, practice constructing and reading graphs, and rehearse the FRQ format that asks students to justify a claim with evidence.
It helps indirectly. AP Biology sharpens close reading of dense passages and quantitative reasoning on data sets, both of which show up on the SAT reading and math sections. Students prepping for both usually run a combined plan with our SAT prep program so we are not duplicating work across tutors.
AP scores are 1 to 5, so gains are measured in whole points on a small scale. Students who complete a full plan typically move up one to two levels from their diagnostic (for example, a projected 3 into a 4 or 5). Actual results depend on starting point, class grade, and time to the exam.
