Pricing depends on session length, frequency, and whether your student is in a 1-on-1 or small-group format. The diagnostic assessment and consultation are free, and we share a written quote after the consultation so you can compare it on the same scope of work.
Yes. We teach both AB and BC. AB covers limits, derivatives, and integrals through the fundamental theorem. BC adds sequences, series, parametric and polar functions, and additional integration techniques. Students preparing for BC also get AB coverage as part of the same plan.
Most students benefit from starting in September or October, which allows time to close gaps before the pace of the course accelerates. Students joining in January through March follow a compressed review plan focused on the highest-weight exam units. We accept students up to four weeks before the May exam for targeted review.
Yes. Online sessions use a shared whiteboard and live problem work, so the format holds up for calculus notation and multi-step problems. Most local students meet in person at our Hillsborough office and use online sessions when schedules or weather make the drive impractical.
General learning centers rotate students across shared worksheets. Our AP Calculus sessions are led by a tutor who has taught the College Board framework and works from your student's diagnostic. Every session targets specific units and question types, not general math practice.
Yes, and this is one of the most common reasons families reach out mid-year. We start with a diagnostic to separate a precalculus foundation gap from a pacing or study-habit problem, then build a plan to stabilize the grade first and rebuild toward the AP exam.
It helps indirectly. AP Calculus reinforces algebra, functions, and problem-setup skills that show up on the SAT. Students prepping for both usually run a combined plan with our SAT prep program so we are not duplicating work across tutors.
AP scores are 1 to 5, so gains are measured in whole points on a small scale. Students who complete a full plan typically move up one to two levels from their diagnostic (for example, a projected 3 into a 4 or 5). Actual results depend on starting point, class grade, and time to the exam.
